Public Health Day
On December 20th, 2022, all students of two centers FFSC and the children of Shelter Binh Trieu Center participated in the “Public Health Day” at the UK Academy of International Studies (UK Academy).
This program annually has given examinations and treatments for the handicapped and orphans organized by the “Ho Chi Minh City Association for the Support of People with Disabilities and Orphans (HASPDO)”, and the “Health and Social Affairs Committee”.
The “Public Health Day” gathered more than 100 doctors, nurses and dentists from major hospitals in the city to provide healthcare check-ups and medical treatment for more than 1000 Vietnamese children with difficult backgrounds.
Seeing a lot of nervousness on children’s faces, the volunteers warmed up before having the examinations to play mini games with prizes; the students in Binh An center also contributed to singing with funny performances so that the anxiety was replaced by a relaxed spirit and joyful atmosphere in the children.
The children surely enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere and the attentiveness of the professional medical team with rich experience, enthusiasm, and dedication. They had full physical examinations: measuring height and weight, blood pressure, measuring heart rate, eyes checking, ear-nose-and-throat examination, and dental check-ups. Before leaving, the children also received gifts such as: cute teddy bears, toothbrushes, clothes, and ice cream, etc.
