TOUCHING TẾT

“Touching Tết is when a single handhold is enough to warm the heart,

when a small letter carries the breath of an entire spring.”

Our heartfelt thanks go to the teacher and Grade 12 students of Saigon Practice High School for bringing love to the shelter, allowing this year’s Tet to be felt through smiles and open hearts.

“Touching Tet” is not only about reaching the moment when spring arrives, but about touching hearts through love and sharing. Last Saturday morning, Ms. Phuong Anh and the Grade 12 students of Saigon Practice High School brought that spirit of Tet to the children at Binh Trieu Shelter through a visit filled with meaning and compassion.

Tet was felt through hand-holding circle games, through the innocent laughter echoing during the Telephone game, and through small gifts that carried immense care and sincerity. Most of all, Tet was touched through handwritten letters — where each loving wish and each hope for peace was carefully written and personally handed to the children, as if sending them a spring filled with trust and hope.

In those simple yet precious moments, Tet no longer felt distant. It was present and close — in sparkling eyes, in warm smiles, and in hearts connected by empathy. On behalf of the children, we extend our sincere gratitude to the teacher and the entire class. It was your presence and your love that allowed the children to truly touch Tet — a complete Tet, rich with warmth and compassion.
