“EVERYTHING IS A BLESSING FROM GOD”
On the Sunday afternoon of the first week of September, the children from the Binh Trieu Shelter, along with the Sisters, Teachers, and Mr. Frances Phil Maclaurin, met in the warm space of the Fatima Community Chapel in Binh Trieu to celebrate Mass and pray for the new school year.
Father Joseph Pham Anh Quoc (Professor at St. Joseph’s Major Seminary in Xuan Loc) presided over the opening Mass of the new academic year. In his Homily, Father Joseph urges the children to reflect on the benefits they have received. At the same time, Father helps you know that all of those Blessings are the result of God’s Love via the Sisters’ care and direction, the Benefactors’ support and concern, and the sacrifices and silent prayers of many people.
Following that, the Father also invited the children to say “Thank You” directly to the Sisters and donors, as a manner and means of expressing their appreciation for everyone’s devotion and affection. Indeed, the words of “thanks and appreciation” may not entirely communicate the children’s gratitude to the donors, but “Living Joyfully – Living Healthily – Living Well” every day is the most effective response that everyone wishes for.
At the end of the Mass, everyone took a group photo – the first photo of this new school year – and shared dinner together.
