BINH TRIEU SHELTER WELCOMES THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR

In the afternoon of September 6, continuing the joy of the opening ceremony at the two centers, Binh An and Binh Trieu, the children at Binh Trieu shelter officially entered the new school year with a solemn and cozy mass.

Present were the Sisters of the shelter, Ms. Nhung’s family, and all 24 children. The chapel today seemed brighter with the children’s clear singing and innocent smiles, blending with the sacred atmosphere of prayer.

Father Joseph Pham Anh Quoc, lecturer at St. Joseph Seminary in Xuan Loc, shared a meaningful message: “To become a true person, one must learn—learn to eat, to speak, to wrap, and to open.” Through his humor and warmth, he reminded the children to care, to love, to be grateful, and to share—especially with their housemates.

The Mass took place in a fervent, solemn, but also warm atmosphere. Every look and every respectful gesture created a sacred scene. After the Mass, everyone gathered around a simple and friendly Agape party.

The opening ceremony of the new school year at Binh Trieu Shelter ended in joy and serenity. Not as noisy as the big festivals, but with simplicity, love, and sacredness, the children received a meaningful start to the new school year—the school year of Knowledge, Friendship, and Faith.
